I love that at certain points, you can tell when the printer was running out of ink. Would love to know how many ink cartridges he went through!

That was completely fantasdtic. It seemed like the concept was similar to MJ's Leave Me Alone or whatever it's called.

I'm willing to bet every Al song is referenced in this. Straight up.

I didn't say I was willing to bet much.

I loved the video. Very fun and quirky, and all the references definitely add a lot of replay video.

I'm not one to say that every new song or video is Al's best ever, but Lame Claim to Fame is truly outstanding. A highly repeatable tune, hilarious lyrics, and a mesmerizing video with astounding detail and craftsmanship. (My wife is going to love watching Crowe get covered in mucous four times in a row.) If this isn't his best video ever, it sure is a strong contender.

And video or no, this will be one of those songs I listen to over and over again. The comedic pacing on the Bacon line kills me.

I agree with you Just a Bill. The song is so great. I love that there are so many little references in the video to other Weird Al songs even though I don't know what many of them are about. LOL. I do remember some of them though like My Bologna and Jurassic Park. He has so many albums I don't know which one I should buy next.

So, as far as videos go for the originals on MF, I'd rank the video for "Lame Claim To Fame" above "Sports Song" and equal to or better than "First World Problems," though I think I like the song itself better than either. (Of course, it's still been less than a week, and these opinions are subject to change with time.) Some great visual gags in this one.
