Conan does bits from time to time where he picks out audience members and pokes fun at them, usually at what they're wearing. So his audience would definitely be up for it. That would be great!Alinite27 wrote:We all should have been able to figure this out more easily based on the Reddit AMA. Al mentioned that Tacky may include some audience involvement for the performance. It makes sense why he was already thinking about that.

That was a great performance! Very unusual for Conan's show, but awesome! And we got an entire tour of Conan's backstage. Just wish we got to see more of the band though.
My favorite part was when he was "twerking" in front of that guy in the audience.

Really enjoyed seeing the band ( minus Jim) at the end. Overall, great performance

That was fabulous. I agree, I really wish the band would've gotten more than a few seconds of airtime, but it was still pretty great.

Told you Jim had prior engagements! It was a neat performance, and definitely played off of the video style. Will be interesting if Al could pull that off in concert, although I don't see any possible way that he could. That would be very fun to see him go through the backstage area, and around through the crowd. Band looked awesome at the end! Great job guys!

Was the band even really playing? I didn't see any backup singers there.

That was a great performance! I do agree with everyone that the band was basically not there which sucked a bit. I wish they would've had him show up to the band a minute earlier.
Always and forever a Weird Al fan.

If you missed it, it's available here.
I thought it was a great performance. The one camera no cut thing is really cool, but the trade-off was only seeing the band for a couple seconds. I could see Al entering from the back of the theater or the balcony or something and working his way through the audience when he performs this live. It would actually be a cool opener if that's how Al made his entrance. My only question is do that many people normally just hang around the Conan set backstage doing nothing, or did he bring in some extra people to make it look better?

Oh, THIS is where everybody is!
I'm disappointed that the Tacky thread spoiled the nature of the performance, but still enjoyed it.
