I love everything about this song, it's easily my favourite on the album. He nails the style perfectly, the lyrics are the perfect combination of insane, mundane and plain hilarious. The new Albuquerque!

Not necessarily, if she lives in an urban area where she can simply take the bus to wherever she needs to be. Chicago has pretty good public transportation.

Yeah, a lot of people in Chicago who are licensed drivers still used public transportation. Heck, I live in Cleveland, am a licensed driver, and still often use public transportation. I think the narrator in this song is creepy enough without having to imagine him fantasizing about underage girls.

By the way, I'm loving this song more and more with each listen. This is absolutely an Al classic.

Thanks to Reddit AMA, we now know that Al's favorite song he has written (mentioned in an interview while on his book tour) is indeed Jackson Park Express

It's certainly among his best-written originals.

He usually changes his answer every time he's asked what his favorite song is. Most of the times he says "whatever song I'm promoting right now"

But he DID say in an interview back during the book tour that his favorite song he wrote is on the new album, so it makes sense that this is the one he is most proud of at the moment

Not really... He USED to say that until "White and Nerdy". Then he always said it was his favourite, until now.

I really hope I can meet a woman some day that would be willing to make love with me to this song. It's so romantic.
