Nope. The only concrete hints we started gettng that there was actually a White Stripes parody were the screenshots of CNR, which was long after this speculation.

I think the only reasons they were speuclated were that they had a distinctive style and were popular in the years leading up.

And I don't even think I even mentioned my Chuck Norris speculation on this site, which came solely out of the popularity of the jokes at the time and Al's tendancy to do songs that feel like the result of brainstorming jokes related to a topic and fitting them into a song, which Chuck Norris jokes felt perfectly suited for.

.
I remember that...didn't one of the shots contain a slightly obscured visage of Charles Nelson Reilly, and people were trying to figure out who it was? I don't think anyone actually guessed correctly, but I could be wrong. I seem to recall I thought it looked a bit like Randy Newman. X*

Bermuda just said this in the Ask Bermuda section, regarding all of our speculation and song/parody guesses:
bermuda wrote:there are definitely some surprises as well as "I KNEW it!"s to be had!

That tells me someone here has speculated correctly about one of the songs. So now do we speculate about which of our speculations is correct?

Confirmed: six-minute parody of Royals in the style of Radiohead about a manly Daenerys Targaryen spoiling the Dude's fanny pack.

I love how sometimes Bermuda gives evasive answers, and then other times he gives more information than I was asking for! :D

This is pretty interesting. If anything from things we've already seen speculated, I like "Manly" for "Fancy" and "Spoiled" or "Spoilers" for "Royals." He could be talking about the 90s style parody(ies), though, and one (or two) of the over 9000 speculated target bands are correct.

I don't think he's necessarily talking about just one thing, but pretty much every band that released something in the 90s has been guessed for the Patton Pastiche, so you gotta figure someone got it.
