Re: Album 14 Timeline/Spoiler Updates

I was thinking about that too....but it makes me think back to how some people were frustrated that the video for Perform This way wasn't included on the Alpocalypse video DVD, to which Al said that there wasn't enough time to get it put onto the disk because of the time between recording the last song and actually releasing it. Maybe Al feels confident enough that the lead-song (if he has in fact started work on it) will still be big enough come September, that he is trying to have it so the new lead single video will be included with the album.

If this is for a video for the new album, it's probably for one of the songs he began recording in April and it's another cheap, low-budget one. Otherwise, this has to be for some other outside project he is involved in.

I don't think Al quite has the lead single figured out yet either. Maybe he's trying to get someone's permission, but I doubt he's doing even that at this early of a stage in time.

In fact, Al did post in his original blog entry on the whole "Gaga Saga" that all he needs to confirm an album's release date w/his record label is eight weeks advance notice and the permission from the original artist of the song he's parodying for the lead single. He also alluded to the fact that he always gets permission for the parodies (and maybe fleshes out the concept a bit) before he even starts writing the lyrics.

I bought that up because I think we may see social media announcements from Al about the album's release date before we see Al or Bermuda or anybody post about going back into the studio for the last song.

Looking at al's newest tweet today, it seems to be teasing the new album title, and I do recall a previous post about a song thats about bowling.. Could be nothing, but it could be something

It looks like the bowling ball has the background of those windows he recently instagramed

Yeah, I don't think the title of this album is seriously going to be "Alfred". That was something some jokester put up on Wikipedia just to mess with us (and it has since been taken down, I might add). I mean, don't get me wrong. It's a fine title for an Al related project like a documentary or a biography, but to me it seems too serious and introspective for a parody album.

If that Twitter/Instagram post is in fact teasing anything, I think it might be a possible bowling song like you said. That does seem to fall in line with the theory being floated around that some kind of sports-themed song could be on this next album. Maybe he's shooting another live action video for this particular song. That could be a connection between this and the "scouting locations" post he also made.

This same thing happened with ALpocalypse though, it was leaked to wikipedia before it was time and taken down shortly after, I remember seeing it, just like Alfred, lets not disprove this yet.. The twitpic looks an aweful lot like something official, I still think it is gonna be called Alfref
