Sure, but he said "new website AND Weird Al video coming soon". Maybe the video will be available via said website?

Re: Album 14 Speculation :3
It's very, very, VERY unlikely that any new songs or videos will be leaked before the album is finished and ready for release.

Re: Album 14 Speculation :3
Thanks for clarifying that, Bermuda. I guess Tim Thompson must have been referring to his website and not the video.
Oh by the way, I've cracked the code.

Re: Album 14 Speculation :3
Thanks, Jon!
Also, has anyone seen this Instagram post from Al? I'm sure we've discussed this before, but at this point I think "Blurred Lines" is obviously a given to appear on this album. I bring this up again, because based on this and the "rhyming dictionary" joke Al posted on Twitter Al may be viewing "Blurred Lines" the same way he previously viewed "Party In The USA" and "Trapped In The Closet" (as songs that were such massive hits that he couldn't ignore them).
If nothing else, Al may just decide to work this song into the next polka medley and call this a day. After all, he did make similar jokes about "I Kissed A Girl" on his old My Space blog and "Tik Tok" on Twitter (both big parody fodder hits that were relegated just to the polka) but something tells me he may be playing "variations on a theme" with "Blurred Lines" the same way he did with "Party In The USA" according to an old AV Club interview he did.
I know for sure this post is going to annoy most of you and get me all but laughed off this board again, but that clearly never stopped me before.

In all fairness, Al also made a joke about "My Life Would Suck Without You," and that song did not appear anywhere on Alpocalypse. I really don't think the fact that Al jokes about a song means that he will parody/polka-fy it on the next album. He jokes about a lot of things on Twitter and Instagram. Maybe he just thought it was a funny joke. Besides, everyone knows the lead parody is going to be a take on Mumford & Sons ("I Will Wait for Food").

Re: Album 14 Speculation :3
I'm feeling Blurred Lines as part of the polka, but yeah, the fact he's making jokes about trying to parody a song is really just parodying the idea of himself. There was a tweet sometime last year where he said something like, "It's not too late for my big Macarena parody, right?" More obviously a joke than the possibilities of a Blurred Lines parody, but you catch my drift?Killingsworth wrote:Thanks, Jon!

I'm not taking part in laughing you off the forum, by the way, Killingsworth. For instance, I completely agree with what you said about putting "Talk Dirty" in the polka. He's never done Derulo or 2 Chainz before, and while 2 Chainz is not really parody material right now, he's one of several new artists that's debuted in the past few years, who I think has to be represented on the album somehow.
Also, McDonalds has announced that its partnership has to do with little more than a "Just eat it" campaign licensing "Eat It" for TV and radio, in which Mr. Yankovic himself is not currently involved. (And McDonals mentioned "As well as an extensive print campaign." Do they need the license to use "Eat it" just to type the words "Just eat it." onto a page?) But nonetheless, we don't have to worry about Oppa Grimace Style on Album 14.

It looks like they will be playing the track in the background for radio and television commercials.CharlesNelson wrote: Do they need the license to use "Eat it" just to type the words "Just eat it." onto a page?)

Re: Album 14 Speculation :3
Al posting about a song on Twitter does NOT tell us anything about whether he will parody that song. It's obvious that any song as popular as Blurred Lines is at least being considered for inclusion, and we don't need a tweet to tell us that.
His tweet stands on its own as a piece of comedy about Blurred Lines regardless of whether it appears on the album. He's making fun of the incredibly stupid line "What rhymes with hug me?"
