Al on Childrens Hospital

Post by Killingsworth »

Al will make a special guest appearance on tonight's Childrens Hospital on Adult Swim. I'll just check it out tomorrow either On Demand or online. It's only a 15 minute show, so I'm sure Al's cameo will be all too brief. Since the episode is titled, "Country Wedding", I'm guessing Al will be doing his generic Southern doofus accent again.

Not sure if you were wanting a 15 minute special on Al or what, but I thought this was a great episode. Definitely had some wonderful cameos in it, as well. Shouldn't judge something before you watch it.

BTW, I'm definitely a fan of the "older" Al Yankovic.

Loved it. (once I managed to find a link) I've always wanted to see this show as I follow a ton of people who have been in it. All these cameos and hanging out with actors is doing wonders for Al's acting.
funfact... Judah Friedlander was also in Al's 30Rock episode

I wasn't judging it. I was just saying Al's cameos even in shows like 30 Rock and this seasons' Comedy Bang Bang were very brief and those were each 30 minute programs. I was expecting less from a 15 minute show like Children's Hospital (Al's cameo was in a flashback after all) but somehow this gave us more than what I was expecting.

Al and Judah Friedlander were great in this. Ken Marino and Rob Huebel are great series regulars. This was a good episode, but I feel like there are probably better episodes to start on if you're watching the series for the first time.

BTW, I'm also a fan of "olderL Al. While I find Al's '80s-to-early '90s look has some charm to it I'm personally more of a fan of Al's "new" post-BHD look. Not just because it was the one I grew up on (I didn't really get into Al until the W&N/SOL era) but I feel like it suits him better at this age. I feel like Al sort of outgrew the glasses/mustache look after the '90s and he looks more distinguished now.

Casey, you are a pretty weird guy man. You've got me agreeing with Jeremy twice in one night. Who cares how many frames Al is on the screen? Al was referenced or actually on screen for about 80% of this episode AND he says the phrase "pre-ejaculate making its way up my vas deferens"
I couldn't tell a dirt clod from a plate of caviar.

Yeah, Al saying that phrase pretty much made my night :)

Al's acting was definitely fine in this one. It was nice to see him play it pretty much straight up instead of some OTT acting.

Whether he's "playing it straight up" or "acting OTT", he's always pretty much playing himself.

Jeremy claimed he was going to resign from this forum barely a month ago and yet still seems to come back frequently...and I'm the truly "weird" one?

Yeah seriously, this isn't even the first guy named Jeremy to quit the forum and then come back.
