Al on Reddit
Al recently tweeted he'll be doing a Reddit IAmA on June 27th at 5:00PM EST. If you look up "Weird Al" Yankovic on reddit, you'll see lots of requests for Al to do an IAmA, and by the means of all this, a lot of redditors must be really excited.

I'm an excited Redditor!
I think we should come up with some well-thought out questions for him on here.

What exactly is an IAmA? I'm not familiar with Reddit.
Oh by the way, I've cracked the code.

Re: Al on Reddit
I signed up for Reddit just to participate in the AMA for Trevor Moore from the Whitest Kids U'Know. I'm excited for this and plan on participating in this one.
I don't know that much about reddit either, but "AMA" means "Ask Me Anything" and IAmA means "I Am A" and also functions as "Ask Me Anything" does.

Re: Al on Reddit
Hopefully we will get some idea of what the status is on the upcoming 14th album, maybe even an announcement that all six originals are completed(?)
I was looking at some past Ask Al's and he does have a history of teasing originals from the next album: for example, in 1998, he suggested he may do a zydeco style parody and a few months later that he may do a song about New Mexico.
I would also like him to expand more on what he sees as his potential future digital distribution method after this next album, and what it might mean as far as his future output's parody/original ratio.
I may now have to sign up for Reddit so I can Ask Al these and other questions.

Of course I'll be on vacation and unable to participate. I'll just ask my questions at the Tower and share them with you

Re: Al on Reddit
I already got two questions for him, so here are some questions you guys can ask:
What was the Couch Potato/You're Pitiful videos going to be like? (I know most of the answer to this one but I'm curious.)
Why did eBay single take so long to release?
What is your favorite song from the Polka Party album?
when was the last time you heard one of your songs on radio? Which was it?

Re: Al on Reddit
I think I might ask your first question because I've already got one other prepared.
Personally, I think eBay took so long to release as a single because it took a while for Al to notice the song's international popularity.

Re: Al on Reddit
I agree with Casey. eBay was never meant to be a single, it was most likely a throw away idea he had. The original was out before RWS, so he probably heard the song one day and just had a quick idea and didn't think anything of it

I can't work out how Reddit works because I am old and uncool. I think I will sit this one out and read it later
