It's your neighborhood, pick something, and we'll be there, as long as they have good milk.

I've not been to an Al show since 2010. I'm presuming the setlist is similar to what was on his live special on Comedy Central? I think this is still an "Alpocalypse" tour...just trying to judge.

Anyway, I can't wait til tomorrow either way. :whoot:

Does anyone know if Al is doing a Meet and Greet on this tour? There wasn't any M&G on the last two visits to Philly.... and I'm debating on bringing rare to (hopefully) get autographed. I got lucky and snagged a front row seat for tonight. :)

He still does meet and greets (just met him in Bethlehem) and your best bet is to find his tour bus after the show, and presumably there will be other fans waiting there as well. Best of luck to you!

The Tower is suited for a meet and greet, and seeing as how they have tomorrow off they dont have to rush out. And as far as dinner, Im thinking Picas on West Chester Pike. Its 5 minutes from the theater. I need to know soon who is going so I can call and make a reservation, so speak now or forever hold your peace

It was a good show. Hot as hell though, and the doors didnt open until 730. Al really failed with the coffee shop. We were on 69th in Upper Darby, and the coffee shop was something on north 3rd st which is in Philly, so it was almost 70 blocks to the east of us. I didnt stay too long for a meet, the wife has work tomorrow. Plus the scuttlebutt is they were going straight to Ohio tonite. Its ironic that the closest they have played to my house was one of the quickest I have ever left the venue. Eva has said she will write a review tomorrow, so Ill type that up for her and post it

There was a meet afterwards, but a small group. A guy had a spatula signed, and I met Ruben and Kimo. Kimo signed my copy of Weird Al: The Book. Al signed as well and I got a picture. Local radio jock Pierre Robert was there and met with us.

Also, the show was really, really good. That's a given, as it's Al. Show started around 8-ish, and the AC was apparently down so it was very hot. I saw a couple people from here at the show, based off pictures that have been posted of previous shows.

Post-show, a small (very small) crew of fans were mingling near the buses. I approached and made small talk with some, and the venue's security yelled at us and said that since the show started late, there was a very likely chance there'd be no meet and greet. Al's security did come over eventually, as did Ruben. He talked to us a couple minutes and the quite small crowd was very respectful and such, and security did mention that "based on the small number, Al will meet them briefly", and we were told "Only one item per person, no pics, etc."

However, I guess because there were less than fifty, that went out the window. We all got some pictures, and I met a guy in the crowd who wanted two rare Al-items signed and Al was taken a-back and signed them for him. The guy behind me wanted a spatula signed, and he said he got the rest of the band to sign it at some earlier shows so all he needed was Al's.

After I got a picture with Al at his bus, and he signed my book, I happened to notice Kimo standing there with a bag. My mom actually noticed him first (she's not really a big fan of Al's, and wasn't really even wanting to go to the show.) But, she does like Kimo's work with the slack key cd's, and I was showing her videos on YouTube all day, so as I'm walking with my book, she's like "Look who I ran into" and he made some nice small talk and signed something for her and signed the book next to Al's. ^_^ :whoot:

Weird (hehe) question...
What's the story with the Cheerleaders during SLN?
Are they part of the tour or just locals?
I could swear the brunette was signing people up for that bogus vacation giveaway before the show.
