I think you're thinking of Joel Hodgson.

Not really. He only looks like that in the Back to the Future series. However, he does often get type casted in crazy, mad scientist types.

I actually wish that Lloyd had gotten the part as Stanley (even though I LOVE Michael Richards' performance!). I am a big fan of Chris Lloyd. I'm so glad that he and Al got to work together, finally!

You act like BTTF was his only hit movie! Well here's some that you may have forgotten:

Who Framed Roger Rabbit?

Addams Family

One Flew Over The Cuckoos Nest

Taxi (for which he won three (i think three) Emmys

Angels in the Outfield

plus dozens more that you may not have seen.

Camp Nowhere stunk though! Terrible movie!

Oh! Yes, it's very hard to interpret what someone is trying to say sometimes.

maybe there should be a new smiley to indicate sarcasm. it could be a little yellow face getting hit with a shovel

I would have to go with Jim Carrey. Stanley just wouldn't be the eccentric character he was without the facial expressions. Micheal Richards is good at facial manipulations, but Carrey is the best.

I think just about everyone here would feel insulted by this 1989 UHF review's description of Stanley:

not to mention the toilets at Madonna Inn
