I can only speak for myself, but to tell the truth, I'm a little embarrassed to do much drooling in public just now. I had a VERY VERY lucky year as far as meet & greets, and while it's harmless fun to drool over a media figure who doesn't even know I exist, Al doesn't fit that description. I've had enough recent handshakes and hugs and snippets of conversation that my brain has clicked over from the "dreamboat celebrity" behavior rules to the "guy I kind of actually know" behavior rules. So I'm striving to put a lid on it, at least part of the time, imperfect though that lid may be. That doesn't mean I don't notice. Especially when Al sat in my lap.Alouette wrote: Patti, is it just me or have we not seen many of the other girls drool over Al so much anymore these days?
Hm...I guess they don't think he's all gorgeousness and superduper hotness anymooooore~![]()
Actually, that's basically how I was originally going to answer! Once Al knows who you are, it gets harder (or feels weirder) to squeal and make a big fuss over him in that way, especially if you think there's a chance he might see it. A lot of people on this board might feel the same way after having met him so many times (not that I'm speaking for them, but just as a wild guess). But the tradeoff is totally worth it.Orthography Enthusiast wrote:I can only speak for myself, but to tell the truth, I'm a little embarrassed to do much drooling in public just now.

And I don't care if he knows that I find him attractive, so long as I'm not crossing any lines in any way. It's not like if we finally do meet I'm gonna get down on one knee and proclaim my undying love for him or anything like thatBut if he happens to find out through other means, like reading this forum topic, that's fine with me.
Why not? That's a time-honored tradition too. Al deals really well with fan freak-outs, and he won't think you're an idiot, either.Alouette wrote: Oh, gosh, I know what you mean...
I only hope I don't say anything stupid or get all emotional when I meet him, gahhh ;.;!
