Al for American Idol judge?

Is AL-TV returning or did you find a nice interview? Just tell the folks here.

Generally speaking, the judges on these type of shows are has-beens who haven't had an album in years, and are unlikely to make one anytime soon, because that would slow/stop production on either the show (and get him replaced) or the next album(s).

No thanks.

I would definitely rather have more albums by Al than cheesy reality show appearances.

I dont think it would impede on his album progress at all. Once the show hits LA, he'd only work one day a week. I dont think that would hurt him at all

He would lose all credibility with me. I can say that because it won't happen ;)

Just so I got this straight. Besides the topic starter, the only one that is for Al on American Idol is Mikey...That's gonna make it happen...

Al for American Idol judge?

Well first off, call me Mikey again and we start our feud all over! Second, I know it would never happen, but it would still be cool to see. I only pointed out that it wouldn't have too big an impact on a recording schedule because someone said it would delay it. So yes, it'd be great, but I'm realistic to know it won't ever happen

I think Al is always the best judge of his own career. I can't see him going on a program like this at the moment, but who knows? Personally I think people will tire of this type of program before long and it will become as big a sad fest as Big Brother and all that other rubbish. I think it's great that Al tends to attach himself to the projects he can believe in, even if they're of minority rather than mass market interest

Al would not want to do this, and American Idol would not want Al to do it. Case closed.
