Ah, you're right. Well, I'll try to hold on for two weeks, then. Glad to see these interviews back.
4 words that Al said to me that blew me away:
"How's Problem Child doing?" - 7/12/11
So awesome!

That was great. I'm glad to see Al is expanding his horizons....he doesn't need to be pigeonholed as someone who only does hard hitting interviews with rock stars!
He can go toe to toe with an Oscar winner and....another professional kind of actor person....

Re: Face to Face with "Weird Al" Yankovic on The Nerdist Cha
I am so glad that we are getting more than just the usual two or three interviewed on a rushed AL-TV special that's an hour long on VH1 and never aired again. Instead we are getting a lot of new content spaced out over five months. This is a great delivery method, and I am really glad Al waited to find a suitable venue for the fake interviews this time.
There were a lot of great moments in both, but I enjoyed the Megan Fox one more than Denzel. Just more laugh out loud moments, I think. Al did most of the heavy lifting in the Denzel interview, whereas with Megan Fox and most of the best previous fake interviews, he lets the subject deliver a lot of the best punchlines. Also, the Denzel interview took almost no shots at Denzel or his personality whereas he got a lot of good Megan Fox jokes into her interview.
It's also worth mentioning that so far on this clip and the teaser video, there have been a few really smart gags in the parts just featuring Al at the desk. I really enjoyed the line about "a true legend if there ever was one."
Can't wait for the rest of these (but I will) and looking forward to seeing them debut on tour.

Okay, gotta ask everyone's opinion: really Al's tummy, or not?

haha, I don't think that's was really Al's tummy. At least one person upthread agrees with me.Orthography Enthusiast wrote:Okay, gotta ask everyone's opinion: really Al's tummy, or not?

Oh, you know Al has a 24 year old model's stomach. As he said, he tries to take care of himself!

I love this web series so much already!!!! It gives meaning to my pathetic, miserable life! But seriously, I love the whole suit and desk thing -- reminds me of The Daily Show w/ Jon Stewart and The Colbert Report, both which I saw live tapings of in NYC. Omg, I would *love* to be part of a live studio audience cheering wildly during Al's desk shots and laughing along to the pre-taped interviews just like we did in New York! They told us we were the "soundtrack" for the show, haha. Made us sound important (and helped butter us up after we had waited in line for hours)...
Seriously, Al rocks as a host. He always has. And there's so much we have yet to see...

Megan Fox interview was great, Denzel Washington one was alright. I'm really glad to see Al's making this into a YouTube series. It's the perfect place for it. Hopefully he'll continue to do this for a long time!
I hope he does a Justin Bieber or Lady Gaga one. That'd be funny.
