Yes, this was the one thing I really wanted to look closer at that I couldn't, for reasons apparent by that picture.

Hey, an interview is an interview. And it's not too soon to start lobbying Al NOT to shave his head in 2018. :P

I went back to Gallery 1988 this weekend to see more of the exhibit in closer detail than I was able to see on opening night. While I was there, I took a few photos of the Weird Al stuff that hasn't been posted online already as they weren't part of the main set of screen prints. We were the only people in the gallery and they clearly saw me taking photos, so I'm assuming these are okay to post but if anyone has heard otherwise please let me know and I'll gladly take them down.

Rather than shrinking the pictures down so they don't get cropped on WOWAY, I'll just post the links so you can see them in full detail.

Portrait of Al, the classic look: http://i43.tinypic.com/149xkso.jpg" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
The original painting of the Eat It screen print with added real food splattered all over it: http://i40.tinypic.com/20zzqxj.jpg" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Behind the scenes photos of the above Eat It print: http://i43.tinypic.com/2nlwosx.jpg" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

I went back on Sunday too (I went to hear Jim play in Altadena, it was kind of on the way) finally got a good look at the art I couldn't see due to the crowd on opening night, and wound up buying a copy of the series-of-Als-through-the-years one. That one wasn't part of the Al print set; the print set was in editions of 200, and this one was only an edition of 20. By the time I was done with them, they only had 4 left of that one.
