Thank you, Martin, for posting the info. Looking forward to getting the VIP package as well. That'll be sweet.

This gift was given to me because I've suffered some losses recently. One year ago today, Derek passed away. 2 weeks ago today, we lost our pal Scout. Martin wanted to give me this gift to lift my spirits. It certainly has. Thank you so much, Martin.

My father passed away last week. If anyone wants to send me concert tickets, you're certainly welcome to.

I am very sorry to hear that, Jeremy. I did not ask anyone to do this for me. It was done as an act of friendship. I am overwhelmed, but grateful at the same time.

That seems rather like a dick move. Someone did something nice for her and you, who goes to more shows than anyone ask for tickets.

I'm not asking for tickets. Just saying. Especially since I go to so many shows, it'd be cool to get one free for dad.

But, honestly didn't expect anyone on here to care about my loss, anyway.

Maybe I should have prefaced it by saying sorry for your loss. I'd never heard you mention your dad, so I guess I assumed you weren't close or something.

Sorry to hear that, Jeremy, really. I hope you're doing alright.
Did he (or you) have a charity that meant a lot to him? Maybe that would be a more appropriate ask than concert tickets.

Thanks Jon.

I really don't want to turn this topic into a condolences section for me, though. I didn't mean that by my post earlier. He was someone who never gave to charity, and was actually pretty bitter about a lot. That's why you've never heard of him Mike, and I actually didn't see him much throughout my entire life. So, yeah, I'm doing fine. Just thought this might be a way to get something out of him, since I didn't get anything while he was here.

Anyway, this has gotten really way too personal than I intended. Mods feel free to edit it, if you feel that it doesn't belong on a Weird Al forum.
