I KNOW--they're out of control! So is E!, though I must admit, the SNL one was the first one I was really looking forward to watching. I've loved that show since 1975 (some years/casts better than others, of course). Dang!

Really? YOU guys think that VH1 and E! have gone overboard with their clip shows? I just saw an ad yesterday for a new show on VH1 called, "Last Week," where they reminisce (sp?-aak! I hate that word!) about LAST WEEK. No joke! That's just pathetic!

They're going to have a show called, "Last Week" about last week?

How do they get the green light for these shows? The execs must not be paying much attention.

I agree with Scotti. Come on, if you're going to make a five-hour clip show of something, why put in all the work (editing and selecting which ones), and interviewing "celebrities" (except for Al and maybe two others, I've never heard of any of them) before getting permission?

E! is totally at fault at this. They had the rights to reair episodes, not create a best-of. Especially since knowing these countdowns, #1 would be some Joe Piscopo moment.

What?! If that's true, this is silly. If VH-1 wanted to run a music video marathon or dedicate a day to a musician, I'd be all for it. When I watch them, I'm not expecting to see what a bunch of comedians and annoying fashion designers think about how stars dressed at an award ceremony or what J. Lo bought at a clothing store... that's E!'s territory (and they're getting silly with the countdowns, too).

So they did the clips before they got an okay? That's a different story. Like most of you have been saying, this is E!'s mistake, NBC is only trying to keep them on the contract guidelines.

Well at least while I've been sick I didn't miss it. Now hopefully they will work out their problems and we get to see it.

I hope so. But it seems there's a battle looming between the Polling Empires.

Has Al ever been on SNL? I don't remember him being on there ever! And they really need him cuz usually their musical acts suck...I mean, I think so. But that's coming from the guy who listens to Dr. Dre until he sings it in his sleep

Al, to my knowledge, has never been on the show. I'm baffled why he hasn't been on at least once, because he's been around, oh, at least, 25 years.

No. He hasn't. But if he were to be on this coming Saturday, he would be the funniest person on that show without question.
