That's possible. I know if I'm out tour chasing for a only few days, my DVR is packed solid when I get home. I can't imagine what his DVR must look like after 3 months on the road. He probably has to pick and choose carefully what shows he watches and what he just reads about the next day. It's tough to keep up with weekly reality shows when your not watching them live (or within a day or so of airing). It's hard enough to avoid getting spoiled the next day if you don't watch them live. Now imagine if your job requires you to keep up with pop culture like his does.

Besides the good big career boost and all that, it would also help with his choreography on stage and for videos. I've seen a lot of interviews with celebs who had no desire/dancing ability that went on the show and said it was a great experience.
Probably a combination of insecurity about his dancing ability (I too think he'd do a lot better than he thinks he would) and not wanting to be that sacrifice/joke/first one voted off contestant. Al wants to purvey jokes, not be one.

Couldn't help but notice that one day after Al revealed that he'd turned down DWTS, so did George W. Bush. Not sure who was expecting that a former POTUS would be on a reality show, but at least it's official.

Al on Celebrity Apprentice would be the most awesome thing ever. Or Celebrity Survivor, which is inevitable if Survivor continues down the path of horrendousness it's currently on.

I just watched this entire interview. I have to say one thing that bugged me about it was how many times Al resorted to the old line "I don't want to run down a list of names, but..." You know, I wouldn't mind if occasionally Al did list off a few dramatic shows he likes to watch or indie bands he likes to listen to. I get that he doesn't want to leave any off, but maybe he could have given a few more examples.

I don't know how well Al would have done on DWTS, but it would have been a lot of fun watching.

Also, the interviewer used on of my questions! :whoot: I find that really awesome!

I was going to say the same thing (about his insecurity with his dancing ability). But the interesting thing is, he has such flexibility. You think that would count for something. If they could showcase that talent in a muted sort of way (not with his leg behind his head and hopping all around, haha, but like how he can do those super high kicks and keep his leg perfectly straight... that flexibility has gotta be useful in other dance moves too), well... I think he would really amaze people! Especially since the average viewer would not know about his incredible flexibility ahead of time. Anyway, he turned down the offer, but at least it's nice to know that he got the offer! I would not be opposed to him changing his mind on this one, though. :D
