That's the main thing that I always say to Al when I see him after shows. Usually mention something interesting or new from the show, or recently from the tour, and then wish a good night. I always try to keep it fairly short when talking to Al, mainly due to the amount of people that he HAS to meet night-after-night.

Wow! It even happens to you!! Well, if it happens to you, it's no surprise it happens to us mere mortals too.

Haha, your all so funny. Last time I saw them I only got to say "Hi, and good show man" real quick and he said "Thanks for coming out". First time in Verona last May it was so perfect, since it was the following morning after the show and we were all checking out. Got to talk with Ruben for a while who I failed to meet at the show the night before, and got about 15 minutes of conversation with Steve, Bermuda and Jim, and the bus driver and roadie. Then when Al came out he was so relaxed and happy, was a gorgeous sunny day. We got to take our time, ask lots of questions, take our pics and have a smoke with Steve, and even with 5 minutes or more with Al and nobody else around, it was like a day after personal meet & greet. But, I still didn't bring up ANY of the many questions I had planned on asking If I got to meet him, so being star struck when your talking to your idol is not unusual at all. Now I don't even remember what I was thinking of asking him. Did tell him to bring back Lasagna and some more from the first album, and then we got My Bologna so that was pretty cool.
What a racket they're makin', Jack, they keep me up at night playin' their electric guitars!!

Forgot to mention this earlier, something pretty fun happened during "Yoda". Al usually says something silly after he asks the audience to sing along before the chant. This night, he looked down to a guy in the front row and said "now, just you" and threw the microphone at him. ^_^

Yeah, he does that about half the time. I haven't seen him throw the microphone at someone for awhile, though. The last time I saw him throw a microphone was in Knoxville, TN last year and he busted the guy's mouth open with it.

Hey all,

New member. :) I was at the Durham show with my two brothers. Me and my middle brother have been Weird Al fans for a long, long time, but this was the first time we saw him live. It was a great venue and we had great seats - row B, 105-107 (technically the fourth row). He was crazy close. It was a great, great show, we really enjoyed it and had a tremendous time. Just like golfpro827 said, it's a completely different experience live. So much fun. I drove from the Outer Banks (4 and a half hours) to see the show.

To answer the question you asked, Alinite27, I racked my brain a bit and looked at a list of coffee shops in Durham. I am fairly certain he mentioned Beyu Caffe (http://www.beyucaffe.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;) during "Craigslist."

That's an awesome photo, RyanHippFTW! Never been to a Weird Al show before so I wasn't sure if that was something he did or not so we just headed back. Kind of wish we had stuck around, but... we also had to get up early in the morning. Heh. Might have stayed if we knew, though. :)

Jeremy, why exactly do you feel compelled to know this sort of thing? Are the names of the coffee shops they use in "Craigslist" really that important?
