1. Yes she does. She's not a super-fan like I am (I'm noting that this is a trend) but she enjoys his parodies nonetheless, which I will take credit for.

2. I love comedy and comedy music, and I couldn't imagine being with someone who doesn't like comedy music. If they don't like Al, that's OK, but they better like an even funnier musician (hint... hint... there isn't one).

3. I've never dated anyone who hates him. The ones who don't LOVE him just sorta tolerate him.

4. Not really.

My daughter did just see today that he will be having a song called "Party in the CIA" which made her laugh and she sang "Party in the CIA" to the tune of "Party in the USA"... then said, "I don't know what the CIA is..."
Did you tell her? :?

I asked if she's familiar with the FBI, and since she was, I said they're like that, but they protect aliens  and do a lot of very secret stuff. I know that's a little stretched, but I mess with my kids all the time like that. I thought it was funny, but perhaps I'll get some backlash from that soon. My wife gets on me quite a bit for doing stuff like that, but my kids told me they like it, so I'm in the clear. :P

Why is the title of this thread not "Weird Al and Significant Others" anymore?

Anyway, I have some questions for those of you whose significant other IS a Weird Al fan: Did you ever "merge" your Weird Al CD and DVD collection with your SO, or do you keep things separate?

I know I passed on buying the book, since the bf was already getting that, but we both got copies of Alpocalypse. Now I'm trying to figure out what to do about the live Blu-Ray/DVD thing.

Any input will be welcome.

Well considering the distance between you two, Id recomend buying your own copies, so you dont have to watch it over Skype

We live in the same house, and we still got multiple copies of Alpocalypse... :P

It does depend on what it is. We'll probably get one copy of the DVD, and for a lot of the concert merch, we mostly just try and make sure we have one of just about everything between the two of us, unless there's a design that we both reeeeally want on a shirt.

We'll probably always get at least one copy each for a new album, though...

I am the rabid fan between us(although huz is also a fan). We only get one copy of the CDs since we have that fancy computer network thang going on. However, if you live in different places like Ale and honey, until there is a merging, I say it's everyone for themselves!

Looks like I'm alone in the "S.O. not being an Al fan even in the slightest" dept. *sigh*

It's tough, but I've survived.
4 words that Al said to me that blew me away:

"How's Problem Child doing?" - 7/12/11

So awesome!

LOL, I did watch the Alpocalypse videos over Skype, since Marc got the preorder before the release date. Though Skype is not really a "share videos through your screen full-screen" kind of tool. Got enough frames per minute to get the gist of them.
