Re: Red Bank NJ 10/11/11
The count basie theatre in red bank nj has been completely renovated. I am a member of this theatre so i was able to buy my tickets yesterday. due to the price of the tickets however The person i normally go with wont be able to attend due to the price. I have 1 extra ticket in the 1st row center for face value of course which was 107.50 as i paid 215.00 for the pair of seats. The presale is still going on until thursday but i secured my seats the minute they went on sale on tuesday.
if a true weird al fan wants to see the show up front drop me an email and we can make arrangements. i go to this theatre quite a bit. in fact ill be at this theatre on july 20 for pat benetar and other times in august for alice cooper, the beach boys and then 2 more shows in october.
anyway email me privately if interested in sitting with a true fan!
see you there, bob
ps i have to agree being from NJ that this price is just insane. I dont expect anyone to want to go to the show with me at that price BUT im throwing it out there for anyone who is interested. I know its a lot of money but the only way id spend it was to sit 1st row center which i got!

Where else could I live and have four Al shows in five months at four different venues all within 45 minutes of me? Now go pump your own gas
i love your quote. yes im from nj and proud of it and who cares what these outsiders say!!!

i admit this one is very overpriced but this is the venue that charges 150-500.00 for the fab faux which is a fake beatles tribute band. this theatre is a non profit and the money raised goes to keeping the theatres bills paid to date and to upkeep it. its not for profit but i agree in this case for weird al the price is too much.

Definitely have to agree about the overprice. I don't mind paying it, well I should say, that I can understand paying it for a charity show like Rehoboth Beach was. But, yeah, for a regular show it is way overpriced. You'll have that sometimes for shows in the northeast, though.

Re: Red Bank NJ 10/11/11
In case anyone was like me and passed on this because of price (and by the looks of ticket sales that's just about everybody) the Count Basie Theater is having a Columbus Day Sale where they're selling rear orchestra and balcony seats for this and a bunch of other shows for $10. I couldn't pass that up so I'll be there in the nosebleeds but I've been so spoiled for the better part of 15 years now so I'm not complaining. You can only get them by phone (732-842-9000) or in person at the box office from 10am-6pm today.

Aw, I really wish that we were able to make it up for this show. From your description of it, Dave, Red Bank seems like an amazing place. Oh well, hopefully we'll still see y'all with everybody else in Allentown on Thursday! Have a blast brother!
