Hmm, I wonder if President Obama and his daughters are going to this show like they went to the one last summer.

Like not going. They weren't there last summer. Obama was at a Nationals game that night.

No, he went to the Nationals game first but then was shuttled over to the Weird Al concert. It's common for political figures, especially the President of the United States, to attend multiple events in one night. Especially when one of his favorite bands is in town!

How do either of you know this, considering neither of you were there?

Yeah, but you were probably so wrapped up in yourself and trying to sneak into soundcheck that you didnt notice other people were there

President Obama's schedule is very public. And I follow Capitol Hill news very closely.Alinite27 wrote:How do either of you know this, considering neither of you were there?
As I pointed out in the thread for last summer's show, President Obama once said "Lasagna" is his favorite parody of all time. I don't know if he's heard that Al is now doing this song in his medley, but I'm sure his senior staff has been keeping him up to date on the setlist changes.

Hmm, not sure how you get his schedule, but it'd be cool to see proof from that night. I don't follow politics at all, so you probably would know better than me on this matter Jon. I know that I didn't see him there and it wasn't mentioned at all in the discussion about the show last year. The only thing I remember was a mentioning that he saw Strasburg pitch the Sox.
I do remember seeing the Lasagna thing. It's cool that he's a fan. I would hope that his staff has greater matters to attend to than looking up Weird Al Setlist changes, though.
