Re: Who Would Be The New Al If He/she Wanted To?
Thank you, JNN for that breaking news report. As for this debate, I have a migraine now.
I am glad Nucka Nucka Ali has released this statement. Now we can move on, right?

4 words that Al said to me that blew me away:

Re: Who Would Be The New Al If He/she Wanted To?
As a nationally known parody artist I gotta say there will never be another Wierd Al Yankovich. Initially I wanted to scream "ME, ME!!!" but I realized a couple of things. Al's formula directly ties nto his personality so the songs he does fit him specifically. Wether itz eating, being omish or nerdy it always has Al's swag. I cant do the songs Al does effectively because my life experiences have been different. I believe that a great parody artist must not only tell a joke through a song but it should have a level of authenticity so that it is unique to that performer. It shouldn't just be a change up of words but a statement & a story. Unless someone loves Bologna , plays an acccordian and Loves Jesus enough not to use profane language they cant be the New AL. Thats like finding the new Michael Jackson or Michael Jordan or The New Beatles. Heres a list of People I think are Phenomenal at Parodies : Nucka Nucka Ali, Affion Crockett, Alphacat, John Ollie
& me The Funniest Rapper Alive "KeithFromUpDaBlock". I have been compared to Weird Al my whole career and haver toured with Jay Z and appeared on countless websites. One of my comedy mentors is "The Legendary W.I.D" who appeared on "The Big Al Show" episode #1 on MTV.
I used to hate when people would say "Your like the Black Al yankovich!". It really annoyed me becaused it made it racial, but I have finally accepted it. My new Album will be titled "The Black W.A.Y (Weird Al Yankovich)". It means more than race. I am the polor opposite of Al because of my life experiences. For every Yin there is a Yang & I am the Yang to Al's Yin. Lol. Check out my work on http://www.Youtube.com/KeithfromUpDaBlock or just google me.

Thank you for your input, Keith. Please, it's Yankovic. No "h". I'm glad you posted here, and took the time out to site why you think neither you nor any of the other parodists you listed could ever be the next Weird Al. I am glad you were able to do so without resorting to using profanity or slamming anyone here. I appreciate that. Maybe I'll look you up.

...Yikes...
A good point that has been said here is does there have to be a new Al?
I think he's the best at what he does, and anyone talented in the comedy music genre is different enough to be their own thing.
See Lonely Island, Tenacious D, even Key of Awesome.

Keith, I checked out your YouTube page. Some of those parodies are pretty funny and I thought the production value of both the song recordings and music videos were pretty solid. You are a lot better than Nucka!
