Re: Stop Forwarding That Crap To Me
I'm sure a lot of us were expecting this song to be longer initially, but was anyone else expecting it to be angrier or more intense (kind of like "CNR" or "I'll Sue Ya") or is it just me?

I agree with Killingsworth. Going into this, I was expecting a fast-paced, rage-fueled song.

I expected it to be more Bat out of Hell-ish. The length was ok.

It might be just me, but I hear a splash of Jackson Browne when I listen to this. As it builds up, it sounds more like Meatloaf, though. Now that Bonnie Tyler has been mentioned, definitely hear her in this song as well.
4 words that Al said to me that blew me away:
"How's Problem Child doing?" - 7/12/11
So awesome!

Bat Out Of Hellish, I like that. I agree was expecting that style of song as well.

Are you talking about Bat Out Of Hell the album or "Bat Out Of Hell" the song? Because "Crap" had very little in common with the song.

The song, I was imagining it sounding that way until I actually heard it.

Yeah I was thinking the song. Real over the top. I had high hopes for this one and I was disappointed. I'm still trying to like it

Re: Stop Forwarding That Crap To Me
The back up vocals are pretty cool, but he should have ended the album with a more upbeat song. As I hear it more and more the lyrics become funnier and funnier but thats not really the way his songs usually hit me. It definitely should have been better than Don't Download This Song, and because of that song, I dont think that style of song worked as well to close off the album. It is still an awesome recording though, well polished!

That`s my opinion, but I really think it`s great as it is. Remember DDTS was also very smooth-sounding. I really like an album that ends that way. In fact, come to think of it, DDTS and SFTCTM are very similar actually.
