AL TV 11 Speculation

1996 was awesome, definitely wouldn't call it the worst one! The ones with the Road Reports on the Candian Tour were so wicked. And the two best mock videos were in '96, the Smashing Pumpkins "1979" one is awesome, I think it is anyways, and that Alannis Joy Ride one too, is hilarious. Alot of the best interviews too, the Robert Plant one, the one with the Stones and the Billy Joel one. The Madonna interview from that special was also good.

If it follows the one hour format of the last two Al-TV specials, I think he might. After all, I'm sure he'd rather have it air sooner than later if it's planned.

This will probably consist mostly of the videos from the DVD (plus PTW and Polka Face) so a bunch of the work is probably done for Al. All he probably needs to do is film some short interstitial bits on the roof and some questions for a couple of "interviews" before editing them. I don't imagine it taking that long. I seriously doubt that Al would want to air this close to Christmas again.

I'd like to see him go back to the old school AL-TV style, with Harvey and the contests and nutrition breaks. Was watching a bunch of classic 80's AL-TV bits last night, so much fun.

I'm starting to think that if Al is indeed planning an AL TV special for this album, we will see it closer to Christmas. The exact same thing happened with RWS when Al was doing a fall tour and with SOL when Al just had one planned.
