so i applied at the post office last mon, checked the website and they finally processing my info, as of now it doesnt look good as the 15th is when i would leave is 4 weeks, though its being processed at the chgo office, though i cant go down and pick it up, still says to call within 2 weeks of travel so maybe it will be ok, and told mom i might be going and why, she laughed

Good luck with that Fred. Yeah, I was going to process the info through my local post office, which then goes to our passport agency. However, our local passport agency does not issue the passport cards, so it would then have to go to another place. Then, finally be shipped back. The post office guy told me that I probably would not be able to get it within the time limit. Luckily it does look like the Chicago office can issue the passport cards.

So, I'm going to schedule an appointment to get a passport in person at the Buffalo Passport Agency on the day of the Buffalo concert. Hopefully I'll be able to get it that same day, but I will able to pick it up on the 15th after Lancaster, since we'll be heading back through Buffalo, if I need to.

Cool. Benefits of living near a big city. Compared to middle-of-nowhere West Virginia. Buffalo should work out fine, though.
