Next Lead Single
Add to the fact that Cee Lo is already reworking it himself into a song called "Thank You" as a tribute to firefighters and other first responders, a comedic song being turned into a serious song is like the anti Al

Funny how both "Smurf You" and "Born This Way" are the two songs Al has specifically singled out as NOT being potential parody targets, but those are the first two guesses.

Re: Next Lead Single
What are the biggest rap singles right now? Kanye - All of the Lights, Lil Wayne - 6 Foot 7 Foot, Wiz Kalifa, or Nicki Minaj? Wokka Flokka Flame?????? LOL
Actually the more that I think about it, "Black and Yellow" would make a really good parody target.

Didn't Al say in an interview a while ago that he considered parodying smurf You, but ultimately decided to stay away from it?

He should add "smurf You" to the polka. I miss the sound effects.

Re: Next Lead Single
Yeah, it wouldn't be a good idea to parody the song in my opinion. It's already a comedic song, anyway.
But the polka is a perfect place for it. And the song has made such a huge impact that I think adding it would be an excellent idea. But the polka's already been recorded, so he probably won't do it. Derp.

Re: Next Lead Single
I hope the new lead single isn't rap or pop... I hope its rock!! something new or oldschool, doesn't matter all the new rap/pop music as of late is completely terrible, and rock music has only been getting better...

Re: Next Lead Single
I'm willing to bet that Al got sick of waiting and dumped the whole "As current as possible" idea.
If he's still trying to be current, Black And Yellow is a possibility since the album just came out, but I'd say it's a safe bet to widen the scope on anything from the last 6 months. And there's always the classic rock route to go too

You have quickly thought up such matchless phrase?
