I loved the Twitpic Al posted of the folding chairs and antlers, and really hoped he would buy some as souvenirs and pack them into his carryon luggage, while videoing the process.

I'm from Pennsylvania, not California. And anyway, someone's political views cannot be ascertained by the state they are from.

No, you're wrong. The rest of the issue aside, it's objectively incorrect to say that the show Glee is "trying to make kids gay" and that the word homophobia is a "cute little buzzword of the liberal agenda." You're entitled to your own opinions but not to your own facts.

Just my two cents, and then I'll stop: I don't know why we can't have an "off-topic" forum around here where we CAN discuss this kind of stuff. Every other fan board I belong to (all two of them) has one. Sure, discussion can get passionate now and then, but in the end we're all adults. And you would have to choose to go into the forum in the first place, so if you didn't care to talk or read politics you could just ignore it. But I think it's interesting to see what various board members' points of view are on various issues of the day. (Plus, until there's new Album 13 news, it can tend to get kind of dry around here.)

I think it's ridiculous that this world has gotten to the fact where much is not accepted.

Like gay people and Muslims, to name a few.

Also, regarding this photo, I've been completely lazy and/or forgetful and haven't looked at the supermarket to see whether this is actually on any/many packets of Tim Tams. But dark chocolate is gross, so I wouldn't be surprised to see if it was only on the Classic Dark packets.

You'd think so, but some people (Ones with positions of power within the forum, especially) just can't handle the fact that PEOPLE DISAGREE WITH THEM OMG.

It's absolutely smurfin' ridiculous, but that seems to be why this forum is dead in the water because nobody enjoys coming here so nice and lovely to be on.

Well, I didn't see it. I guess that pays back to the fact that I try to ignore news happenings. Unless it's covered on my local news or major breaking news, I'm not gonna see it or pay attention. Anyway, I did read her comments...and I tend to agree with much of everything she said. So, the most hated castmember of UHF for me, is still Michael........

*sigh* This is a perfect example of why political discussions do not belong on WOWAY.

If we ARE going to allow political discussions, please please PLEASE put them in a separate area (as mrmeadows suggested). When I want to read about Weird Al's tweets, I don't want to have to read through post after post of people hurling insults at each other.
