No, I think they just contend that they have so many different sounds beyond just that one and they don't want to be pigeon-holed into a certain type of music. I think this is fair given where the band was in their career at the time (dangerously close to being pigeon-holed into a certain type of music). I would love to hear what their take on the song is today.weirdojace wrote:even refusing to acknowledge that "Everything You Know is Wrong" is supposed to sound like them.

Christian Pop, Gospel, basically any kind of religious music.
It'd be horribly offensive but just as funny.

How old was that last signature? I mean, really?

It's a bit hard for him to never do something when he's already done it.

Be at an Al Show, where he does "Virus Alert" and Ron & Russel Mael come out to perform it...
I'm not going to rule this out entirely either... people thought Sparks would never show up at a Faith No More show to perform either "This Town Ain't Big Enough For Both of Us" or "Something for the Girl with Everything" (from the Plagiarism album) and than THIS happened....

Granted this would be a different situation since with Faith No More, those were Sparks songs and "Virus Alert" isn't a Sparks song... but STILL!!!
