Re: When I Grow Up
It's less of a hassle to just get the book on iTunes. Audible is essentially just adding a couple more hoops to jump through for the same end result...especially if you're planning on burning it to a CD.

Re: When I Grow Up
I had a few credits there because I bought something that included them. I finally got to listen, though. At least I know the story, now!

Re: When I Grow Up
I got my personalized, autographed, copy in the mail yesterday. Thanks OE!! You're the best WAY friend a girl could have!! The book is really nice, I'd love to see the reaction to a live reading from Al with a group of appropriately aged children.
But.... no 27? Really, Al? You knew we'd be looking for it.

Holy crap, this man could be the next Dr. Seuss! I mean, seriously, I haven't laughed that much at a book since forever. Does anyone know when the movie's coming out?
How old was that last signature? I mean, really?

Re: When I Grow Up
Thank you so much, Helen, for sending me a copy of the book. Thanks also to Al, who signed it with a special sentiment that I was not expecting. This shows he really cares.

4 words that Al said to me that blew me away:
"How's Problem Child doing?" - 7/12/11
So awesome!

Re: When I Grow Up
I am proud to say I just donated a copy of "When I Grow Up" to a library that is being built in a remote village in Ghana called Medie. A friend of mine is traveling to Ghana to help teach science and English to the village's children (aged "nursery" to fifth grade). Her first task is to build a library from scratch and fill it with 500 books. One of these books will be Al Yankovic's "When I Grow Up." Hopefully they'll enjoy the book, and if I hear anything about it I will post here.
I couldn't tell a dirt clod from a plate of caviar.

Found an interview with Wes Hargis, the illustrator.
