Al Yankovic's Favorite Teacher

Post by TMBJon »

I am glad that Al's foray into children's literature is resulting in more articles like this:

Well written, Al.

This is why I'm going to be a teacher. Only one year left before I'm certified. I absolutely loved that article and loved Al's book. It's so cool to learn this now from Al. I just hope that someday I may have a student that would have a similar remembrance of something that I may do. So cool that teachers meant so much to Al.

IIRC, when Al was Grand Marshal of the Lynwood Christmas Parade in 2006, he visited Lynwood High and gave a gold record to one of his old teachers (I want to say a math teacher, but I may be wrong)

You are correct; he gave it to his 9th grade math teacher.
