It was a pity they couldn't just do the polka anyway as it looks great. Just going to have to wait for the new album to come out to hear it done properly rather than a video on Youtube :P

Hi all,

New to the Forum, but a lifelong Weird Al fan, and only just found time to post here. I was at the awesome London gig, and hope Al does a bigger European tour next year.

A Quick Q: Does anyone know who the guy with the SLR camera was at Al's meet and greet' after the end of the gig? He was taking pics of most of the queue, from what I can tell, but he got a very special pic of me and Al, which he was gonna email me, but I'm guessing he either lost my email or forgot in all the excitement......Basically, a friend of mine saw and met Al at ATP the day before, and Al came over to him, asked him his name (Matt), and asked "Matt, can you do me a favour?" - my friend, not believing his luck, gushed "Yeah!", to which Al then proceeded to dry-hump Matt's leg, with a 'thanks, I needed that'.

I tweeted Al, mentioning this, and when I met him, he remembered, and dry-humped my leg. Unfortunatley, my fiancée's phone decided to pack up, and she missed the pic. However, the gentleman in question with the SLR assured me he got a great one of Al on my leg...so if he's out there, please could he get in touch, as I'd love to see that photo. The number he gave me was something like 50-50 for the photo reference. I wrote it down for him, but I can't recall exactly.....

Any help anyone can offer would be great.... :please:

Actually yes, I'm pretty sure you're talking about Asaf, a friend of a friend of mine who went to the concert with us. He hasn't sent me the photos that he took which includes me, but I guess he will, eventually. I can PM you his email address or something and you'll get in touch :)

On the offchance anyone wants to read my review (with photos) of the London gig, it's here: http://jasonbstanding.com/2010/12/humma ... le-poodle/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

It's probably a bit late to ask this now, but the ticket I bought was I think called a VIP pack, via the presale on weirdal.com (with the special pack thing with cards, laminate, photo, etc). Was I meant to be able to get upstairs and meet the band afterwards, or something? As it was, I was feeling really ropey and decided to dash home to bed. Curiosity has been bothering me though. Anyone?

Thanks,

Jason
Jason-
Nice review! Always fun to read Al concert reviews. Just an update for you- the song that started and stopped was indeed the new polka! It will be on his new album (due to be released 2011 apparently) . Also Albuquerque was the encore for the 2007-08 tour for SOL and has been played a few other times since. Hardware Store as far as I know has never been played live however. Would love to see that live!

Again, thanks for posting the review. Hopefully Al will go back to the UK soon.

Hi all....

Well, WeirdElla, What can I say? The photos arrived today by your friend Asaf. I could've sworn that it wasn't him in the links you sent me, but apparently so. I have my photos of Weird Al dry-humping my leg, and they are awesome, as was the whole evening. If only I'd listened to you sooner.... ;) Thanks for your help ;)
