Extremely great show, just as simple as that. Going in went very smooth (better than in London!) and show was brilliant. Al was almost 100% recovered with his voice. It still missed some strength, but he could reach all high notes. Everything just went the way it should be (ok, he almost lost his paper for "You're Pitifull", but the Dutch fans just gave it back to him ;) ).

I was standing exactly in the middle, right below Al with 2 or 3 people in front of me (yes, Kazoo guys too).

The Afterparty was kinda... silent. I believe there were only 7 people there. Lucky Bermuda found some time to just say hi to me but he had to rush back to the hotel because of the early flight back home. I spoke to Al a much longer time, including just talking about things. I didn't spoke to Jim, Steve nor Rubén because they also left very soon.

Al was really tired after the show. It was a great experience and I've heard rumours that this is going to have a second time (an European tour). I also talked with Jay Levey about the forum and about the tours and talked with Jeff, the sound guy :)

The after talk with Al was really great and the show was great too. I enjoyed every second of it. Both Anya and me agreed that this show in Amsterdam was better than in London. Obviously because the first song was played this time, but also the people who were just _really_ enjoying.

Anya made a few pictures which I will share as soon as possible. But I'm sure lot of people made videos or photos :). At this moment, Al is already in the flight back home (he departed this morning around 7am and we went home around midnight). My feeling says this European tour is not the last one and hopefully we see Al in the near future.

Maybe somebody has the question why Al went to UK and then one show in NL. Because NL is not the biggest country to go to. If you try-out an European tour, my first idea is to go to a big country like Germany or France. But Jay Levey told me they choose NL for one reason, which is that in NL _almost_ everybody understand English and in countries like Germany or France it's not. Well, I just thanked Jay for coming to Europe too, so we had a good time there :)

Glad to hear you and Anya (and everyone else who has posted here) had such a great time. I hope Al does return to Europe soon. It sounds like the tour was a big success!

Back home , after I slept in a small hotel .

Show was awesome / brilliant , words can't decribe it all . They were all enjoying it . I saw Steve before the show as he went away from Paradiso . Before the show he walk through the audience .

Shook hands with Weird Alexander , WHiZZi , Anya and travelled with Thewildborne to Amsterdam and walked through A'dam with him .

I went to the Afterparty . It was really silent , where the other VIPguest were ?? The should have been at least 20 VIPguests . I shook Jon's hand , sat beside Al when he was talking to Bart .
I can't wait till next time .

Maybe a little bit closer to home , Eindhoven , in the Muziekgebouw Frits Philips , although that is an all seater . Yesterday was mostly standing . What gave a compact crowd who made the response even greater .

I publish the least worst photo later .

Bart - So glad you and Anya enjoyed the show, and good to hear Al's voice was a little stronger. I'm glad you got to talk to him longer after the show. I'm so jealous that you got to talk to Jay Levey. I know there are others on this forum who have met him. It's just really cool that he went to Europe. I'm sure no one had to twist his arm. He was just being a good manager, right? I have also heard from one other person that there will be future trips to Europe for Al and TBitB. Judging by the majority of the comments in Al's twitter timeline, folks were really receptive to the shows. I'm so happy for Al and the guys.

Martin - I'm glad you got to go backstage with Bart and Anya. Sounds like you had a great time at the concert. I see you've posted some links on twitter to some footage. I will check it out. :)

Thanks for the reviews, guys! Looking forward to the concert pics.

64 Pictures ( but most of them are rotated and 3 doubles which are not double on my album ), and made by my Cellphone , so the quality isn't that good sometimes :

If you watch one of those interviews someone posted recently, you can see Jay Levey walking around in the background of the shot on his cell phone.

Wow, Jay must have a ginormous cell phone. And sturdy, too.
