Thanks for the great review, Bart! So glad Anya is now a fan... that means you're not in a mixed marriage anymore. :D

Opaque: Al has a fan club?

Hey Whizzi awesome review. To clear one thing up, the reason Al was in spoken word is most likely because the store has no comedy section. And they want to keep all the funny people together
Talking about music is like fishing about architecture- FZ

Another review of the London show

Ray Davies was there?? Watching Al sing Yoda?? :good:

I'll bet Al's head nearly exploded. And not just from sinus pressure.

All tix bought through the Mothership are habitually referred to as Fan Club tickets by the UK venues
I never saw Ray Davies or Chris Evans. I DEFINITELY would have seen them if they were Al's guests. Robert Popper, Rich Fulcher and Chris Moyles were there and I know Danny Cummings was there. I was looking out for familiar faces and as you know I am usually reasonably good at spotting them. I've met Ray Davies before as well, but I didn't see him there in the bar area. Not to say he wasn't there tho. I was stoked to meet Robert Popper. I love his work

Thanks for the review. Was really worth to come over from Finland for the concert! Hope that they will come over to Europe again... Though I met many non-UK or at least non-London people - so one may argue that a proper European tour might not work out fully...

Even with Al's obvious illness problems, it was just a great evening. Look forward to the next one :)

Did some pictures and put them on my facebook account as I don't use Flickr or something... Is there any space here where I might put them btw.? I am not in the forum too often, so excuse my "stupid question"...

Yes, I watched a bootleg of Yoda from London and he was obviously running out of usable voice, but he wasn't holding anything in reserve. He still gave it everything he had, even if he didn't have as much available to give as he usually does. Al on a bad day is still pretty great. He must have been fighting some dizziness problems too, he kind of paused before doing that last jump, and still fell back onto his keister. I've never seen him do that before.

Seriously Helen. He was *really* very poorly. It's a selfless and awe-inspiring performance
His courage and spirit absolutely floor me. He was so kind to funkyaardvark and myself. There are no words that come close. We can all be immensely proud of being Al-pals. :)

Florian, I'd love to see what you have please. I never photograph in the gig.. too busy singin' :)

Hey everyone

Just found this forum after having a brilliant time seeing Weird Al and meeting plenty of nice friendly fans at the Forum, London.

I've been following Al's music for a very long time now and have brought any of his stuff I could find when over in the states and I went banana's when I heard about the London concert... I brought tickets as soon as they were available and was one of the few standing in the freezing cold from about 4pm, had a completely amazing night, was better than i expected! I was really buzzing that I got to meet Al.. even if i did miss the last train home and ended up with less than 3 hours sleep before work.. was worth it tho! If he comes back to the Uk i might go on a "tour crawl" and go to more than one!

Hope you dont mind but i've linked my photos and videos I took if you wanted a look at any :P

Marcus....
My daughter and I were there at the concert too.....we came in from Denver to see it. I was looking at your videos and they were fabulous.....and I had a question. I noticed in the Dare to be Stupid recording that you can actually see my daughter waving her arms with the crowd.....her blue hat off to the left of the screen shows up distinctly. I know it is your video, but I was wondering if there was any way that i could get a copy of it. This was her first Weird Al concert and I would love to be able to give this to her as part of the gift of being there. I sent you a facebook friend request, but it didn't allow me to include a message so i couldn't tell you who I was then....but the photo will have me with Weird Al in it.....I'm wearing a black coat with a colorful scarf (many colors). My name is Yvonne Kessel.

Please if you could let me know if this is possible, I would appreciate it.

Thanks and Cheers!!!
