Al's (sorta) on Cartoon Network's show MAD!

Is AL-TV returning or did you find a nice interview? Just tell the folks here.

Al's (sorta) on Cartoon Network's show MAD!

Post by BIGAlfan2711 »

al LOVED mad magazine when he was a kid (and probably still does!) so shouldn't he be on cartoon network's show mad?
heres how this forum works if you agree, you write the skit he'll be in (if it's a parody, write what its a parody of). if you disagree, find a different forum.
I'll start:
Parody of UHF: URDumb!!
now it's your turns.
enjoy! :mahalo:

I don;t quite have an idea for a MAD parody Al should be in yet, but if they start using guest stars, Al should be pretty high up on the list. I've been reading the titular rag since I was ten and from what I've seen, I have to say that this new show is really faithful to the print versions' comedic sensibilities and it doesn't disappoint. I would recommend MAD to any WOWAY board member or anyone in general who has gotten sick and tired of Robot Chicken.

MAD seems almost like a cheapened rip off of Robot Chicken, don't know if anyone else feels the same as me. :D

Should Al be on Cartoon Network's show MAD?

So Mad has two shows now? Is the magazine even still printed?

IIRC, they just went back to bi-monthly after being quarterly for a while.

And I'm pretty sure Mad TV's been gone for a while, so it's just the one now.

And Al should be on any dang show he wants :)
You have quickly thought up such matchless phrase?

It's a shame about MAD Magazine. I know it's customary for every generation to say MAD Magazine used to be better when they were a kid reading it, but it really really really went downhill fast once they started allowing advertisements. I realize it's what allowed the magazine to continue being printed, but the quality of the publication is absolute smurf. Somewhere, Bill Gaines is rolling in his oversized grave.

No he's not. Gaines was cremated. Everyone know that :P

...but yeah, I agree with you that the quality of the print version has gone a bit downhill since they started running real ads (which ironically is he same time I started reading it regularly and subscribing on and off) and even I think it reached it's peak sometime in the mid-70s...even the 80s and early 90s had some bright spots...and Dingo was spot on with his post, BTW...I actually prefer MAD to Robot Chicken...the latter is the "cheapened" show in my mind...

That's what makes his grave so oversized.
