after i put up the pix, the accordian player emailed me if i could send him copies, he said all that he got were from cell phones, i didnt send him all, mainly the ones with them in it and 1 single Al, then he showed them to his band and they all loved them, so their gonna send me a cd

Al must have been surprised, too, since it made him late coming out for Skipper. I love those moments, though, as we got an extended instrumental section from the band. Al came in just a couple lines late with the drama costume only half way on.

I'm a bad fan. I've only listened to Skipper Dan a couple of times, so I didn't recognize it until he changed costumes (I leaned over and asked my friend what it was, and he said "sounds like Weezer"), and had no clue what was going on during the beginning of the song, even though it looked like Al was late to the mic. What was that costume supposed to be, a graduation gown?

The other video edits were interesting, too. I loved getting to see the Keith Richards interview, the "Dirt" educational video, the different Michael Stipe cut with Cell Phones (although, it kinda sucked to see Snoop cut), and the addition of Justin Timberlake's motto. They took out a few various clips, which I guess the UK just wouldn't get or like...such as bank robberies or the "teeth" educational video, or references to musicians that aren't over there.

I guess that explains why they didn't use the Kevin Federline interview - the UK probably has no idea who that is. I'm surprised he chose to use the Madonna interview rather than Paul McCartney (at least he's using Bobby Plant - was that one on the US leg?). So was the band performing Cell Phones throughout the tour, or did they bring it back for the UK leg? Most concert-goers probably haven't seen the Stipe interview, so encoring with the song would just be confusing to them.

It's nice that I don't HAVE to travel over to London now to see all of it...I'm In Luv Wit Da Skipper sucked being cut, too, as it makes there not be any concert-only songs in the set. The transition into Confessions is pretty smooth.

They had kinda formed a line, unless the fans just did it...but Al or the band never came out. Instead, they just drove out...but, Wayne waved at Anna and I, as he was leaving. Such a nice guy. Went back to the hotel, and had a fun night together before the trip the next day to Stroudsburg.

Thanks for confirming. Now I don't feel quite as bad about not jumping into the line by the bus.

I was wondering that. I think it's supposed to be something a great classically-trained actor would wear, probably performing Shakespeare soliloquies or something like that.

K-Fed was not in the US tour either. Madonna and Plant were both in the US shows. Cell Phones was also performed throughout the tour, but they included the clip from the Snoop Dogg interview where Al also sings Cell Phones, so there was still enough context.

For the Glen Ellyn show it was a big black cloak and a beret - basically the stereotypical classic-oriented college actor you see in movies.

Actually, I think he's trying to achieve the look of an actor in a Shakespearean tragedy, especially one portraying Hamlet.

Yeah, it especially looks like Example 2. Although, I'm not exactly sure that Al was targeting a specific example. I think he was just going for portraying the general type of an actor that would have a role similar to that...and that was the best costume that would work to get off quickly and reveal the Skipper outfit.
