Ha!! I saw that hawk outside just after I met up with Al. I was wondering why there was a hawk outside the show. I guess now I know!
I couldn't tell a dirt clod from a plate of caviar.

Actually, the VIP section was the entire 2 sections in the front of the theater, all the way back to the soundboard (about 10 - 12 rows in all). Everything behind that, and the balcony, were regular GA.

Really glad to have finally gotten to meet that guy! Hey Stanley, you should post that picture we took together!
Nice to meet you, too, Jon! I also got to meet Louise, Tony & Marissa Goldmark, Liam Lynch, Lisa Popeil, Vikki, Helen, Suzanne Yankovic, and Steve Jay. My photo files are too large to post here, but you can see them in my photo album on Facebook.

It was a great night! :great:

I just remembered something: while waiting in line outside, I met a guy who actually attended the infamous 1982 Missing Persons concert.

Apparently he sat pretty close to the stage, so a lot of the crap people threw at Al hit him.

Afraid not. He didn't remember too many details; he was just a teenager at the time, and pretty drunk and high as well. He just remembered what we already know - that the audience was extremely hostile. Apparently later in life, he didn't even think to connect that memory to the "Eat It" guy until he saw the Behind The Music special.

And no, he was not the little kid who said "You Suck!" to Al. I made sure to ask.

Can you imagine what Al would have said if someone had told him in 1982, "Al, twenty-eight years from now somebody in this audience will pay good money to see you in concert, and then wait around after the show to ask for your autograph"? It kind of blows the mind.

Cool I never got around to reading the whole thread. I'd TOTALLY forgotten the awesome 3-Wolf-Moon shirt.. That made me laugh so hard. I wish he had used that one on the UK gigs. Having heard the backstage situation there I'm not quite so sad I was just out in the street, as I met all the celebs anyway. We actually had a blast, and tbh I love seeing the band just as much as Al and I feel closer to them personally. It was a FANTASTIC night. There really arent enough superlatives. Four concerts... Spectacular :) Totally grateful to Vikki, what a great lady. So much fun to meet everyone! I will try hard to be back asap
