Re: The Big Topic About Ticket and Merchandise Prices
So I paid $30 for a ticket at the Chehalis concert. That's about the max I'll pay though.

thanks driew for acually creating the topic. ironic the one time i might want scottidog to use her mod powers she does nothing. lol. but calling it the "big topic" just saddens me because my guess is it will never become as big as it should be. (maybe that's because i failed to address the discussion of stoners, drunks and journey herein this thread. )
taste is only something if it is yours.

But it would have meant culling out all the merch price posts. That's what we keep Driew around for, theWell, Well, Well wrote:thanks driew for acually creating the topic. ironic the one time i might want scottidog to use her mod powers she does nothing. lol.

Seriously, all you needed to do was ask.

To be fair I was helping the off topicness of that topic so it was probably my duty to straighten it out since it was partly my fault.Well, Well, Well wrote:thanks driew for acually creating the topic. ironic the one time i might want scottidog to use her mod powers she does nothing. lol. but calling it the "big topic" just saddens me because my guess is it will never become as big as it should be. I'm also horrible with naming topics. So I apologize for the overused "The Big Topic" slogan.

Is that with or without tax, handling fees, etc?

I don't know...okay fine. $50 is the max I'd pay for an Al ticket including all the fees.scottidog wrote:Is that with or without tax, handling fees, etc?

Re: The Big Topic About Ticket and Merchandise Prices
I think I paid $45, with fees it was $52. Which I think is comparable to the amount I spent in 2004. In 2004 I had killer seats. The last concert? Balcony. The worst seats I've had yet.
But in fairness, I don't think Al sets the concert ticket price. I think that's done by the promoters. Al probably does have a say in the merch prices though.

Re: The Big Topic About Ticket and Merchandise Prices
Yeah that makes sense. Al has a fee to appear at their venue. And then the venue would figure out how much to sell each ticket to make a profit. So say Al's fee was $10,000 (I have no clue what he charges, I've always been curious though). And the venue has say 2000 seats. To break even they would sell each ticket at $5. But of course they don't want to just break even. So they'd charge $10 per ticket.scottidog wrote:But in fairness, I don't think Al sets the concert ticket price.
