Ryan, you can't use the phrase "dead to me" unless you at one point had a lot of respect for him.

Absolutely not. Think about it. "Dead to me" means they were once someone/something important and has now lost meaning due to their actions.

See, that definition supports my argument. I always thought Dave Matthews Band was terrible, hence they have always been dead to me.
