Well, tonight was a very awesome show for my 75th concert.

Got into the Toledo Zoo around 3:15 after stopping at a nearby Denny's for dinner. Checked out the zoo. It's one of the nicest in the country, so many exhibits...so much interactivity. After going through all of the zoos exhibits, it was around 5. I headed over towards the theatre. Took some pictures of the equipment truck, which was beside their animal playground, and the bus. I then went over to the cheetah deck to listen to soundcheck. They tested out all of the sounder's and tuned the instruments. Jim and Steve played a little together, although that was pretty much it. Nothing was performed by Al. Then, it was around 6 and time for the zoo to close.

After the zoo closed, I walked over to the nearby park...which had tremendous views of the river nearby. I was sitting on a bench when Nancy got my attention, and I realized that she was sitting at the bench next to mine. So, I went over and we chatted about many numerous things until it was getting time for the doors to open. After the gates opened back for the concert, I went in and listened to the pre-show soundtrack until the show began. It actually looped and played a few songs over. So, pretty much listened to the entire soundtrack.

The concert began a little after 8:30, they had to wait for the sun to go down...so that the video screens would be visible. This was one of the loudest shows I can remember, with even being so far away. My seat was around the middle part of the stadium seating, which provided perfect views to see an overview of the entire concert experience. There were also a lot of awesome Al fans in my section. Someone after the concert mentioned that they had checked the decibel level on their phone(can you do that?), and said it was 120. Very loud.

There were a few unique things in the concert tonight. One was the fact that Suzanne and Nina were sitting on the side of the stage watching the entire concert. It was so cool to be able to see their reactions, especially Nina. When Justin Bieber's "Baby" came on in the polka, Nina watched him on the screens. She was also very into Skipper Dan, and watched the screens for the Jungle Cruise video. Really nice to get to see them. The video in the place of Let Me Be Your Hog was also something else neat. Al told us that they were going to try something different, filming a YouTube video. He wanted us all to be completely silent, and then when he stood up to also stand up and go crazy. Some guy hollered that he loved Al and screamed when it was quiet. Al said that he guessed they should have rehearsed it for that idiot. So, then he tries again...but Al can't get the paper to shred. Ruben plays some Jeopardy sort of music on the keyboard, and the band has a real laugh from that. Al finally decides to just go a piece or so at a time, real carefully. That seems to work, and they get the video filmed. Really neat to see something different. Also, cool that Suzanne filmed it. Then, during the start of Beverly Hillbillies, Jim's guitar doesn't work...so it just starts with drum beats instead of the solo. It looked like the set-up was completely blown out and overridden because it took awhile to get Jim back up. Franks 2000" TV and You Don't Love Me Anymore were performed.

Also, I had great celebration for my 75th show. During the show, there were people nearby setting off fireworks especially during Craigslist and in the video break between Craigslist and Amish Paradise. My awesome seat with the overview...couldn't have asked for better. Also, couldn't have gotten better weather than there was today. So refreshing. Finally, after the show, I was able to talk to Steve and get a quick wave as he got on the bus. Then, when Al came out...I yelled to him that it was my 75th show tonight. I was kinda in the dark out on the road, so Al shaded his eyes from the light...and yelled back, "Congratulations Jeremy...I hope you have enjoyed them." Then, he and the rest of the Yankovic family gave a quick wave as they got on the bus.

Really nice night and awesome before, during, and after-show experience!

Yeah, definitely a very enjoyable evening. So glad that my 75th could make out that well...

Plus, an added bonus that I didn't put in my review...They didn't sell the row in front of where I was sitting in the bleachers, so I was able to use that row as a footrest. So, I basically had that awesome seat with a LaZBoy whenever I wanted...

Haha, I just saw some videos of "Weird Al SHREDS" from the audience perspective.

Wow, just wow. My first Weird Al concert (thankfully not the last as I thought it might be, seeing as they're now coming to the UK in December, yay!), and it was so fantastic. The venue was great, the guys were great, the sound was great and the setlist was pretty damn spot on. Oh, and sitting center front row was pretty cool too I guess  Definitely one of my favourite concerts ever, if not my favourite, and definitely worth getting stuck in Detroit the night before for!

Anyways, I was wondering if anyone took high-quality pictures of the show (yes, I was too lazy to take my own, but I don't have a very good camera) and are able to post them online. I want to create some sort of picture on my wall using the autographed picture I got, the trading cards, hopefully photos of the show and my ticket stub, so I can have an awesome memorial of the show on my wall. I could use the pics that were made at the Summerfest the night before someone posted, as they obviously look very similar, but thats not the same is it, ha!
