Backstage, but alas no Al. Or Jim. But two hugs from Steve, and a chat with Jon and Ruben, so it's all good. Too much AIH to know what songs I heard. Helen says it was the standard setlist. Our rotating song was YDLMA. I didn't get to see the destruction of the guitar because the people sitting on the inside of our row picked that exact moment to arrive. <_<

Since I missed the last tour there was a bunch of new stuff to me. I'll do my best to post a better review when I get home. For now, I'm beat. Awake at 3:00 am (couldn't sleep) leaving at 6:30 and driving all day... what a day. Very fun though. I got to catch up with Vikki, and get to know Nancy a little bit. Helen and I are roomies tonight, fun catching up with her.

My new camera was a major disappointment. But out of 1400+ photos maybe something is salvagable. Next time, I think I'll leave the camera home.

The guys fly out in the morning. Jon said pretty early.

I'm a happy mama bear.

Glad you had such a good time and I hope you get a chance to say what you thought of each song performance once you get some rest...

The other rotating song was "Frank's 2000" TV." Interesting crowd. "You Don't Love Me Any More" and "Canadian Idiot" both went choral in the balcony where we were. Al mentioned the sign in the lobby that prohibited moshing and dangerous behavior, and said, "Actually, that's left over from the Kenny G concert." and said they approve of moshing. I don't think we actually had any, but we did get a fair amount of fist pumping
There seems to be a finite amount of boogie allotted to each show, and either the local contingent of the 501st gets it, or the Nirvana cheerleaders do. Tonight it was a cheerleaders' night. The 501st were fine, but those cheerleaders were really getting into it. Maybe it was the audience reaction, or just being in the Northwest, but "Smells Like Nirvana" just seemed more... Nirvanian... tonight.
Kind of a funky old theater (the band shook the place, I could feel the bass & drums in my bones) with a very small stage. Good thing Al is so expert at maneuvering the Segway by now. He can turn that thing on a dime.
