Is anyone hanging out at the fair beforehand? I won't be able to on the 14th since I'll be busy basically all day before the concert, but I'm free on the 13th!

I'm going after work, with a friend, on the 13th, and with 5 friends on the 14th. But I went yesterday afternoon for a bit. I liked your photo, BTW.

Aw, thanks! Yeah, I've already been, too... but it's still fun to walk around with a group of people.Orthography Enthusiast wrote:I'm going after work, with a friend, on the 13th, and with 5 friends on the 14th. But I went yesterday afternoon for a bit. I liked your photo, BTW.

If I can get out of work early, I will probably hang out at the fair during the day before the show. #JAZZ

Re: 08/13/10 Costa Mesa, CA Pacific Amphitheater
I just realized that it's August already, and this concert is in 12 days.
I already ordered my ticket (Got it back in January)
My dilemma:
I'm not sure if I'll have a reliable ride to the concert. (Family stuff, moving, etc)
So, is there anybody going who would be willing to take a bit of a pitstop in San Diego to pick me up? (I'd be happy to pay for time and gas for the inconvenience)
If all else fails, I'd be willing to sell my ticket, (EE near the center) (price negotiable, but I'd be hoping to get pretty much the same I paid for it back, but again it's negotiable.)
Thanks for reading my post, and I hope to see you at the concert!

It's not out of the question, but if the possibility of someone giving me a ride is possible, I'd prefer that.
I'm not much a fan of public transportation,
And with the stress of moving and other things, it'd be just as good to sell the ticket than to fight for a ride.

Re: 08/13/10 Costa Mesa, CA Pacific Amphitheater
Speaking of public transportation...I've never been to CA. Flying out for these two shows. My hotel is the Best Western across from the Fairgrounds, which has shuttle pick-up from the airport. So, I really don't have to get transporation to anything. But, I thought I'd try to check out Magic Mountain or Knotts Berry Farm, while I was out there during the day on Friday and Saturday. How reliable and easy is public transportation out there? Any information on that?
Also, I know Al's Brain is at the fair, and plan on checking that out a couple times anyway. Is there anything else worth doing at the fair, since the tickets include admission? Anyone know of any special Al sculptures that they're planning this year?
And is there anything, in general, near the fair area...that I shouldn't miss seeing while I'm out there?
