I agree with folks who says he's gonna play "Good Old Days". It was so awesome when he did it with the Roots. In my fantasy world, he would bring back "You Don't Take Your Showers" and do it as a duet, with me singing the female part.
I know, dream on, but, hey, what can I say?

4 words that Al said to me that blew me away:
"How's Problem Child doing?" - 7/12/11
So awesome!

I forgot that he did GOD with the Roots. I'd say that its likely he does that one. Or he realized that it would sound good with the Roots, so it was only a one timer

What would the reaction be on this forum if Al fired his usual band and instead toured with the Roots? I feel like people on this forum would be really pissed about it and everyone else in the world would think it was awesome. I personally would think it was awesome (mostly based on the fact that it would actually be awesome).

Wouldn't that leave Fallon without a house band? Or would Jim, Steve, Ruben and Bermuda become Fallon's new house band?

Yes, that would be the trade-off. It would be perfectly fair for all parties involved, just like the Leno-Conan maneuver.
