Re: 2010 Tour
Yikes.
Sure, I don't necessarily agree with Freddy boy Huggins here on some things, but the dude just politely requested one thing for the benefit of those avoiding details about the concerts and you'd think he requested the extermination of all kittens in the world.
This forum is certainly becoming less and less fun. Can't wait for the new album, when there's actually a spirit of happiness and positivity in the place.

Grom brings up an important point. WHEN are we finally gonna start exterminating some kittens around here? COME ON, PEOPLE! WE CAN DO IT!

Sniff... I love kittens
Either way, if details remain in the show's own topic(and most tour dates will have its own topic eventually) I think that is the best way to go since you can simply avoid those topics if you wanted. I don't care personally. Unlike the vast majority here, I have not been to an Al concert at all so I will be happy whether I know the set list or not.

Re: 2010 Tour
Anyway... I liked the point brought up earlier about encore.
It really makes me wonder what he'll do next. I remember him saying after the Straight Outta Lynwood tour how different the show would be next time around compared to other tours.
He's already changed the encore, I think it's time to take out at least one of the post-medley staples of the show.

Re: 2010 Tour
What was the encore before? I've never been to an Al concert before (this tour's my first), so I'm just a lil curious. Was it Yoda, or was that just for the Live DVD?OneWAY wrote:Anyway... I liked the point brought up earlier about encore.

I'm assuming, based off info on here, he's gonna incorporate Internet Leaks, or at least some of the songs, into the set. Personally, I'm hoping for Skipper Dan, CNR and Whatever You Like.

Re: 2010 Tour
It was Yoda and TSB for the previous tours.

Re: 2010 Tour
This encore question is a really good one to discuss actually.
Do you think he will continue to do Albuquerque, revert to Yoda/Saga, or something else entirely?

Re: 2010 Tour
I'm sure I've mentioned this before, but I will again since it's been brought up.
I think it would be a waste of 12-15 minutes to have Albuquerque as the encore. The shock value is gone since he's done it for a complete tour, so unless you really love that song, there's nothing that special about it anymore. Reverting back to Saga/Yoda would be nice, but I think it's time for something different that won't wear out it's welcome after just one tour.
