Al is coming back to my favorite venue! Anyone else planning on going?

Ticket sales still TBA, but I'm sure I'll hear from my friend once they're available.

Definitely plan on this one. First time, I went here was last tour. However, this was one of the most enjoyable places I went to in the tour. Not a place for a meet-n'-greet, unless you're Patti...haha...but it is another great atmosphere to have a concert in.

It took me 4 visits to Meadowbrook before I got backstage... :P Who knows if it'll ever happen again, but I did have to give Al an accordion cake in person. hahaha! I'm hoping to go with my friend Annette again.

This is one I will not miss unless I absolutely cannot make it. I was here in 2008 for the show, and it was really one of the best overall experiences Ive ever had going to Al shows. The crowd was just amazing, and Al was really on his game, and it was just a really really fun show. Its one of those experiences that I did not feel even slightly bummed that there was no meet and greet (unless your name was Patti hehe) because the concert experience was just that amazing. LOVED it! I'm gonna fight to make this show happen for me.

EDIT: Will not be making this one after all :(

Well...after debate, thought, realization I wasn't getting a Pit ticket, and finding out that TicketMaster are even more little greedy people than they originally were...I bought another ticket through the WeirdAl Presale. Hopefully it'll be good, wish I'd known all this yesterday.

I have to say if TicketMaster is going to charge $5 for Standard Mail, unless I'm forced, I'm not buying through their website again. Looking at a few other shows, it seems like that charge was just for this show. But, that's ridiculous...especially after all their other charges.

This is by far my favorite venue to see Al (or any show for that matter). The acoustics under the awning are good, the acoustics on the lawn are awesome. The aisles are wide, the seats are pretty comfy. Inside the pavillion there really isnt' a bad seat. Yes, the chances of a M&G are slim to none there unless you know someone, but even so, it's a great venue.

Our seats are different since last I posted. We're in Row U pavillion..not sure about the seat numbers. Kari has the tickets.
Yay!!

Maybe I'll get backstage again, since I told Al I would bring him cookies when we talked on the phone. ;)

*I did have passes last time, thanks to a friend* ;) No idea this time. If not, there are ways of getting my cookies to Al. :)

Another great show last night! Kind of disappointed that I didn't get to see anyone from here...thought I would move over to where the passes were after the show and catch you all, but none were there..although Kaffy...you may have been...couldn't tell if that was you or not. Hopefully you got to give Al the cookies, Patti...

Got into Meadowbrook a little after 5. Got the first parking spot on their lawn area, and waited for the show to begin. They opened up the gates here earlier than usual at places, around 6:30. So, decided to go in early. Either Meadowbrook had their own set of music or that was Al's CD #2. Could have been either possibility because I think I recognized a couple tracks from before, but the majority seemed new? Anyway, when Steve came out and checked his mics and tuned his guitars, he saw me and I got a smile and a wave...since I was right on his side. It seemed like he was playing to me all night.

Concert began a few minutes after 8...not sure why there was a delay. Great show. Sounded like the echo effect on Al's mic was mostly fixed, only heard it now and then. He seems to be playing around with different ideas during the show. He held out CRAAA...in Craiglist for awhile, like the He's in Saga. Also, waited for a long time during the peanuts line...Not sure what went wrong in the Yoda chant...During the last of the new part in the chant, Al included a few more hand stops and that seemed to upset Bermuda or something...one part of the equipment wasn't working correctly after that for the very end of Yoda either, couldn't tell exactly what it was...although, it was weird to not see Bermuda stop for very long at all after the end of the Yoda chant for the crowd to cheer. That's why I figured it was on his end.

We got You Make Me Not Love You Anymore for the alternating songs. You Make Me is such an awesome song in concert. I love it more everytime I get to see Al perform it. I miss Good Old Days when it's not in the show, but You Don't Love Me Anymore is pretty cool, too, with the smash. Al really took out the guitar tonight. Lots of stormtroopers and Vader during Saga. I'm loving Steve's antics on stage. Standing with bass like the one next to him holds his gun...and many different other movements during the show. During Wanna B Ur Lovr, he jumped up on the pedestal that Ruben's keyboards sit on and on the other side of the keyboards, they played to each other during the song. Very funny. As I've said before, Steve seems to absolutely love these outside venues...it's such a treat to watch him during the show. Awesome night...just wish I'd seen a couple people from here...
