If you want to meet Al after a show, rule #1 is WAIT BY THE BUS, and rule #2 is WAIT BY THE BUS.

If you follow these simple rules, and go to enough concerts, eventually you WILL meet Al. Not might. WILL.

That is all.

Yeah, most likely for this screening, though...I doubt there'd be a bus.

Everyone definitely deserves a chance to meet Al, and if you are persistent enough to attend many shows, you'll eventually meet him. No one should feel intimidated about how many times anyone else has met Al.

Probably the best idea for this show would be the after-show party. Or outside of the venue or the after-show party place. Or even inside of the theatre. I really think that this would be an easy opportunity to meet him, since this is such a small theatre.

That's why he said "go to enough concerts." Not every show, but really quite a lot of shows.

I've always had "dumb luck" when meeting celebrities like Al, usually this happens with them walking past me or something when I'm not expecting it. That's how I met Lemmy from Motorhead, he waved at me and said hello as he walked by me, and then told me to see him after the show. The VIP route is nice, but mainly for preferred seating or whatever, not the meet and greet capabilities. I did the VIP route for Cyndi Lauper in Grand Prairie a few years ago and she called off the meet and greet on the night of the show. However, when she does smaller venues she hangs out on the bus for literally HOURS after the show and will meet and talk to anyone who so desires. I've heard the same of Al.

How many is enough? I haven't figured out this number yet.

Seriously, though...yes, Phil, Al is very well known for doing that. It's another great aspect of following and knowing him.

Well, now that we have covered the whole meet and greet thing again....yes, I know, hang out at the bus. lol And yes, I have gone to a number of concerts and been yelled at by the event Security to "go away" and "go home". Oh well. Trying to say "hi" does come with a price as you all know. :(W

And now to get back on topic...I think it's great that there is a showing of UHF with Al answering questions afterwards. I'm hopeing that he will also do this in other cities. I think it will be really neat and a fun thing for all of us to enjoy! What do you guys think???

Yeah, it is a pretty cool thing. I doubt it will turn into something in many different cities, since this is basically just put on by a fan in this area, but it would be nice. It definitely adds together the perspective that AlFest had with the Q&A, but also being able to see the movie in a very nice theatre on a big screen.

If this was anywhere closer, I'd definitely be here.

I had a blast and got to meet Al after the show. I saw Suzanne and Nina too, but I didn't want to bother them. I got some signatures from Al and Jay... really above and beyond what I was expecting! Great time!

I also got to asked Al how many people he talked to on the payphone yesterday after the screening. haha
