Al Reference on "The Cleveland Show"

Post by StevenHull »

On the newest episode of "The Cleveland Show" Cleveland says to his wife, "Who would you rather be Dido or "Weird Al" Yankovic?" In regards to his karaoke style. Neat. The episode's name is "Gone with the wind."
I'm still a geek on the inside, that's the important thing.

Yeah, that was "neat." Just watched this whole episode. Seth MacFarlane sure is the master of giving giant middle fingers to more inexplicably high-minded members of his audience, isn't he?

Yeah, thanks for the heads up Steven. This was TOTALLY worth mentioning. That honestly wasn't sarcasm since it could be argued that this post ties into Fred Huggins argument in the recent Hanson-related thread.

Casey, why do I always feel like I've entered a house of mirrors when I read your posts?

Please say something legible so I can follow the sound of your voice to freedom.

(*sigh*) I was referring to your argument about certain other WOWAY Posters "blindly defending their leader" on this board when people trash Al for seemingly no reason. I believe it was in the thread when Ryan Hipp bought up Al's upcoming appearance in a Hanson video. I bought it up because after watching this episode of "The Cleveland Show", it turned out Al's reference was merely a punchline to an overly elaborate fart joke.

In the episode, the joke basically accused Al of using fart noises in his music. SLANDER! He's never done that!

Good thing, too. Just imagine how terrible "Another One Rides The Bus" and "Eat It" - two of the first three tracks on The Essential "Weird Al" Yankovic, I don't know why I mentioned that - would have turned out had Al sullied them with flatulence-resembling armpit noises.

Good thing you're "inexplicably high-minded" enough to notice such high-minded distinctions.

Fart.

...come to think of it, imagine how those same "armpit" noises would have also ruined "Girls Just Wanna Have Lunch" or "I Love Rocky Road" or "Achy Breaky Song" or "Headline News" or "Stop Draggin My Car Around" for that matter...I have no friggin idea why I just mentioned those three songs or why they all happen to be parodies for that matter, they were just the first ones to pop into my head...

MIRRORS!!!!!! WHICH ONE IS REAL?!?!?!?!

(it must be the one who took three days to get the "house of mirrors" joke...and the real Fred Huggins must be the one who I heard say "you like that one, huh? feel free to use it")

Yeez, that episode was horrible. Even for The Cleveland Show, which is utter smurf as it is, the episode was bad.

The whole SHOW is horrible. The spin-off failed, IMO. Family Guy is a million times better.

Wow that's not saying much.
