I bet he'll add more dates as the tour progresses...I'm pretty sure he did that during the SOL tour...the tour doesn't even start for two and a half more months...that's plenty of time for a lot of things...I don't think this is quite it yet...

Is the mothership the only place to find out about pre-sales and stuff? The venue site doesn't even show Al is coming here yet.

Yes, for pre-sale, by definition it's the sale before the general public is allowed to purchase tickets.

Some venues also have their own presale, so getting on their mailing list is a good idea. For example, I bought tix to the NH concert from the presale through WeirdAl.com. I don't know my exact seat location (somewhere in the first 15 rows), and I won't get the tix until 2 weeks before the show. Later that week, I also bought tix from the venue's presale. I knew the seat location when I bought them (front row!), and I got them in my hands the same day. Even though the mothership's presale was first, it wasn't necessarily the best.

You can try calling the venue box office to find out if there will be a presale, and when the tickets will go on sale to the general public. If the venue doesn't have their own presale, then the mothership would be place to check.

I want to go to another show in addition to Costa Mesa, ideally a theater or "hometown venue" for Al. I notice that there is a lot of downtime in late August when no shows are scheduled when they'll be on the West Coast. Is this typical for past tours, and should I expect more Greek Theater type venues in the Los Angeles/SoCal area, or is Lancaster possibly the closest we'll get?
