Re: Al, You Should Do These Songs Live
I dont think any songs that havent been released by the time the tour starts should be played, it will really ruin the album. If he does any more songs half the album will be out and it will really take away the first listen experience we all enjoy when the album comes out.

Re: Al, You Should Do These Songs Live
I agree with Everything You Know is Wrong. One of my favorite originals. I would love to see Dog Eat Dog again too. I'm sure this has been discussed but a medley of Al originals would be great (like a shorter medley of two to three songs) You Make Me, I'll Be Mellow When I'm Dead et al would be fantastic.
I think the reason UHF and Hot Rocks Polka have not been performed live is due to the fact there was not to my knowledge a tour supporting the UHF Sndtrk. Al seems to stick to doing the polka in conjuction with the tour supporting whatever album is out. If he does a full scale summer tour without a major release will it be a first? He has done a few shows here and there at OC etc but not nation wide without a new album. I hope he does Craigslist, Skipper Dan, CNR too at some point.

I'd love to see Good Old Days. Since he did it on Fallon, might not be too far fetched.
Kristine, I'm pretty sure that would have been One More Minute. After their soundcheck in Fargo, ND at the Red River Valley Fair, they did One More Minute then said "that's why we don't play that song anymore." I asked Jim a couple days later, at the Ft. Yates resort, that we all stayed at, and he said there were a variety of reasons. So, definitely a lot goes into their choices, but that I think revolved around the repeatedness of the song.

Yeah, I think you're right- I was leaning towards OMM. And, yeah, usually something being cut from a setlist with anger/resent like that has a reason other than them just playing it too much.Alinite27 wrote:I'd love to see Good Old Days. Since he did it on Fallon, might not be too far fetched.

So wait, I am still unclear the theory for why One More Minute isn't played anymore.

I really want to see Airline Amy, UHF, Beverly Hillbillies, Addicted To Spuds, and Traffic Jam be done live.

Airline Amy or UHF could be cool.
