Did anyone see Al in Toronto, Ontario Massey Hall?

Post by ClownAlGal »

Hey all! Everybody knows by now that "Weird Al"s new tour starts on August 13. Aka this summer. But my question is to ANYONE who has seen Al perform in Massey Hall in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.Or just someone who saw him live. Do they sell "Weird Al" merchandise before and after the show do they even sell merchandise at the show. Just want to know so I have a better guess at how much money I need to save for it.
Thanks in advance! :Y :D

I've never been to a show where they didn't set up a table to sell Weird Al merch somewhere. It's part of the contracts I think.

This topic title should really be changed, made me think Al released another date for Toronto.

But, yeah, they do sell the same merchandise at the shows. T-Shirts $25USD, etc...The one thing that is interesting, though, is just how much Al's Merchandise handlers dislike coming to Canada. They have to check so much stuff at border crossings, and such. That was the reason why Laura, Al's first merchandise girl for the SOL tour, quit the job for the second year of the tour.

I know it's later on in the year but I am just getting a job so I just wanted to round up how much I would need for the show.

You should aim for about $50. The tickets are likely to be in the $25 - $35 range but with fees and such it could go a little higher, plus you will want to have money to buy merch and stuff like that.

Also, some venues require you to pay for parking... which you can probably look up online. I know for the OC Fair you had to pay to park, and some bigger city venues have paid parking structures.

Yeah, I'd aim for around $100. For tickets, fees, parking, and a couple shirts. Really how much you should have, depends on how much you want to buy. Shirts and Hats are usually around $25, Sweat-shirts $40, and other merchandise which should be $25 or under. For just the concert, I'd set off the $50 that Jon said.

Hopefully, for your sake, Al's going to come to Canada again this tour. SOL was sort of a rarity, AFAIK. And if he's going to plan to come to Toronto, for my sake, I need a passport...
