I live in wine country about 45-50 minutes from SF so if I can get work off I'm def. going.

So, apparently this Al with Chris thing in in a much larger venue than I expected. Not incredibly huge, but seats around 400 people. Every needs to keep in mind that it's GA admission... get there early!!!

And definitely check on ticket availability if you're thinking of coming at the last minute--I'd say a 400 seat venue will sell out.

Oh, and if you go to their website and look at the photos, it's table seating... not tiered stadium-style seating. So, for us shorties, lets hope no neanderthals sit in front of us.

Kristine, for you everyone's a neanderthal.

Wow, Cobb's has really expanded since I saw Emo there a few years back. Then I think it only held about 150.

I wonder if getting there at 12:00 noon would be too early or too late? Maybe the first one there could save some seats at their table?

I don't know when you saw Emo at Cobb's, but you should know that a few years ago, it MOVED from that building near Fisherman's Wharf to its current location on Columbus. Make SURE you're going to the right location. (I made that mistake a few years ago, when I saw Patton Oswalt on New Years Eve).

Had a great time at this event! Good to see Squirrelygirl, Tony, Helen, Ena, and Kristine. SG wore her AL FEST t-shirt, and there was another guy there who I didn't recognize who was wearing the t-shirt and seemed to recognize me.

Al and Chris were in great form--they play off each other so very well! They showed a few videos--older Al stuff, such as the clip of him winning the game on "Remote Control" and the one of him performing "Eat It" in Japan, etc. He and Chris said they were just getting them off YouTube, and at one point Al says "yeah, there's someone named FredHuggins who has a really large collection of stuff up on YouTube." Woo!

Al did do a meet & greet. Thanks, Al!
